The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in a latest move came out with the new technology which could help Commercialize the storing of the greenhouse effect causing gas. The carbon dioxide is stored in well constructed, operated and monitored storage units which are the deep underground formed rocks. This captured carbon dioxide is stored by injecting the gas into the geologically formed sandstone or limestone, or they are drilled into the old oil and gas fields or the old used coal beds that are no longer used for mining. There are wide ranges of technologies which can be used to capture the gas that have been developed but they are not yet cleared for use and they are not commercially available.
